There are two things in the Chinese fashion world that have increased dramatically in recent years: indie designer brands and fashionable men.
At Dong Liang, you’ll find both. Good friends Charles Wang and Nan Lang opened this shop together to share work from their favorite local fashion designers.
Apart from a few avant garde pieces, most designs can be worn daily. Taiwanese trendsetter Pan Yiliang is one of the 18 designers the store regularly works with. His menswear features black colors and a few vintage elements.
Another of the most popular brands is He Yan’s collection, with its clean and fitted cuts, and elegant and slightly traditional Chinese style.
You’ll also find emerging designer Ye Qian’s spring collection, featuring exaggerated draping and irregular cuts. Local jewelry designer Gao Yuan’s hand-made copper and gilt necklaces and rings are also stand-out products. Their dedicated menswear branch is set to open in Wudaoying Hutong this summer.
